COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - While we all continue to adapt to changes in our daily lives, Tennessee Tech Athletics wishes to provide an update on the status of this year's fundraiser. The 2020 Pepsi Bobby Nichols Golden Eagle Scramble presented by Michelob Ultra will take place as scheduled. We are planning on a full schedule of events with anticipation of the fun and comradery experienced in past years. The Friday night concert and Saturday evening BBQ are still a go and we are excited to announce that by popular demand, we are bringing back No Pig's Too Big with their delicious food.
The tournament committee is taking every step necessary to make sure we provide every golfer an exciting weekend of golf and fun while doing it as safely as possible. To alleviate some concerns amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we want you to be aware of several things as we continue to take sign-ups for the event.
- Any paid golfer will receive a full refund if they wish to withdraw from the fundraiser by the end of business on Monday, June 1, 2020. After this, refunds will not be issued absent extraordinary circumstances. Such cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the tournament committee.
- If it becomes necessary to cancel the event, golfers will receive a full refund.
- We are continually assessing all aspects of the fundraiser and are working to meet recommendations set forth by the CDC, the Governor of Tennessee, and by our campus.
While we would like nothing more than provide you with a fun-filled weekend of golf and activities during this unprecedented time we are living through, our priority will be to host a safe event. Bi-monthly emails will be planned to keep golfers informed of our plans regarding the scramble and COVID-19.
