Tech men's and women's basketball clinch OVC Tournament berths, tickets available through TTU ticket office

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With both the Tennessee Tech men’s and women’s basketball teams in the field for this week’s Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournaments from Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, the time is now to order your tickets for the postseason event.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With both the Tennessee Tech men's and women's basketball teams in the field for this week's Ohio Valley Conference basketball tournaments from Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, the time is now to order your tickets for the postseason event.
 
The sixth-seeded Golden Eagle men will be facing No. 7-seed Murray State in the opening round of the men's tournament on Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m., while the sixth-seeded Tech women will face No. 3-seed SIU Edwardsville at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
 
The Tech men (12-19, 8-8 OVC) defeated the Racers 71-67 in the Eblen Center back on January 7, while the Golden Eagle women (10-19, 7-9 OVC) fell 60-49 at SIUE on New Year's Eve.
 
All individual game tickets are $30, regardless of where the tickets are purchased, but in order to secure priority seating in Tech's designated section, those tickets must be ordered through the Tech ticket office. Tickets purchased at Municipal Auditorium are the same price, but those patrons will not be allowed to sit in the designated areas and will be seated upstairs.
 
"We know how important the fans are to our teams, especially at this point of the season, when a large, cheering fanbase can be one of the differences between victory and defeat," said Tech director of athletics Mark Wilson. "We strongly encourage our fans to purchase their tickets from Tennessee Tech and put themselves right in the middle of the action.
 
"With a spirit of camaraderie, fellowship and sportsmanship, we want a large group cheering on our Golden Eagle teams to victory in the Music City."
 
Tech student tickets are also available at $5 each with a valid student ID.
 
All session tickets are also available at the Tech ticket office for $80 each.
