2015 (Junior): Povey saw action in 116 sets over 31 matches... recorded a career-high 12 kills against Niagara (8/29) and a career-best eight blocks versus Belmont (11/7)... tallied 223.5 points, 164 kills, 87 blocks (team high), and 43 digs on the season... averaged 0.75 blocks and 1.41 kills per set...tallied 10+ kills four times.
2014 (Sophomore): In her first season as a Golden Eagle, Povey saw action in 87 sets, including 31 matches … recorded a career-high 11 kills at Jacksonville State (9/30) … finished the season with 108 kills … tallied 58 blocks on the season, including a career-best seven against N.C. A&T (09/19) … scored 145 points on the season.
2013 (R-Freshman – College of Southern Idaho): Povey saw action in 12 matches during her redshirt freshman season... tallied 18 kills while hitting .333… registered 12 blocks.
2012 (Freshman – College of Southern Idaho): Povey sat out the 2012 season as a redshirt due to injury.

The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (7-21, 3-12 OVC) will close out the 2016-17 season with a contest at Southeast Missouri (6-23, 5-10 OVC) at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Tennessee Tech women’s volleyball team (7-21, 3-12 OVC) fell to Jacksonville State (18-17, 6-9 OVC) in three sets. The Gamecocks claimed winning set scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-10.
The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (7-20, 3-11 OVC) gets right back into action on Tuesday, when the Golden Eagles travel to Jacksonville State (17-17, 5-9 OVC) for a 7 p.m. matchup in the Pete Mathews Coliseum.
Tech fell in three sets to in-state rival Belmont (14-11, 8-6 OVC) in Saturday evening’s matchup; the Bruins claiming winning set scores of 28-26, 25-18, and 25-15.
The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (7-19, 3-10 OVC) fell to in-state rival Tennessee State (15-14, 6-7 OVC) in three sets. The Tigers claimed set scores of 25-14, 25-10, and 25-17.
The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (7-18, 3-9 OVC) returns home to host their final regular season matches of the 2016 season. The Golden Eagles will play host to Tennessee State (14-14, 5-7 OVC) in a 7 p.m. matchup on Friday. Tech will then close out their home contests versus Belmont at 4 p.m. on Saturday for a special Senior Day match, where Golden Eagle seniors Alyssa Povey, Sharon Anderson, and Kennedy Wade will be honored before the contest begins.

It was surely a happy Homecoming for the Tennessee Tech volleyball team as they defeated conference opponent Eastern Illinois in a five-set (3-2) thriller at the Hooper Eblen Center Saturday evening. The Golden Eagles saw winning set scores of 25-21, 18-25, 25-19, 23-25, and 18-16 over the Panthers.

The Tennessee Tech women’s volleyball team (5-12, 1-3 OVC) fell to OVC in-state rival Belmont (9-4, 3-0 OVC) in a Friday night contest at the Curb Event Center. The Bruins saw winning set scores of 25-14, 19-25, 25-13, and 25-15.
It’s a quick turnaround for the Tennessee Tech volleyball team (5-11, 1-2 OVC) as they head right back into action when they face in-state OVC opponent Belmont (8-4, 2-0 OVC) on Friday in a 6 p.m. contest at the Curb Event Center.

With tournament play behind them, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team (4-9, 0-0 OVC) will begin their Ohio Valley Conference slate on Friday-Saturday with contests versus Eastern Kentucky (5-7, 0-0 OVC) and Morehead State (4-9, 0-0 OVC).
MOSCOW, Idaho – The Tennessee Tech volleyball team ran into stout competition on Friday night in the Idaho Volleyball Classic.
The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (4-5) split games on day two of the Blue Raider Bash. The Golden Eagles fell to Illinois State (5-5) 3-0 with the Redbirds taking winning set scores of 25-12, 25-13, and 25-13. Later that evening, Middle Tennessee defeated Tech 3-2 with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 25-23, and 7-25, and 15-7.
The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (4-4) fell to Seton Hall (4-4) on day one of the Blue Raider Bash in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Pirates defeated the Golden Eagles 3-0, with winning set scores of 25-21, 25-7, and 28-26.

The Tennessee Tech volleyball team (4-3) split matches on day two of the Samford-UAB Challenge. The Golden Eagles opened up the day with a 3-0 victory over Northwestern State (4-5), while taking winning set scores of 26-24, 27-25, and 25-19. Tech then went on to fall to UAB (3-4) 3-0. The Blazers saw winning set scores of 25-23, 26-24, and 28-26.
With a solid opening weekend a week of practice behind them, the Tennessee Tech volleyball team (3-0) heads out to their second of four tournaments in the 2016 season beginning Friday.
