COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech women’s basketball head coach Kim Rosamond announced the addition of Sydney Gouard to the coaching staff on Tuesday. Gouard arrives in Cookeville after serving as an assistant coach and director of basketball operations at Bellarmine University in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Sixteen student-athletes have been chosen as the outstanding representatives of their teams at Tennessee Tech University and are the winners of the 32nd annual President's Awards, presented by the TTU Athletics Department. Fifteen of the 16 student-athletes are first-time winners for their respective sports, with one capturing the honor for a second straight year.

Now nestled in their housing in Columbia, Thursday will be a busy day as the Golden Eagles begin preparation for their biggest task yet – trying to take down defending national champion South Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the team will arrive to the location at 6 p.m. The selection show itself will begin at 7 p.m. The Tech women’s basketball team, ranked No. 25 in the CollegeInsider.com Women’s Mid-Major Top 25 on Tuesday, won both the Ohio Valley Conference regular-season and tournament championships for the first time since 1999-2000 for their 19th regular-season title and 11th OVC tournament crown. It is the Golden Eagles’ second visit to the NCAA Tournament in three seasons. In 2023, Tech defeated Monmouth in the NCAA First Four before falling to regional top-seed Indiana.

She fought back tears during the post-game press conference after being named the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championships Most Valuable Player, helping lead Tech to a thrilling 82-76 overtime victory.
