2018-19 (Sophomore, Middle Tennessee): Appeared in 34 games, while starting 30 for the Blue Raiders during her sophomore campaign... averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, one steal, 0.3 blocks per game... shot 38 percent from the field and 78.6 percent from the line... tied a career-high seven rebounds against UAB (Feb. 23) and Southern Miss. (Jan. 10)... tied a career-high five assists against Florida Atlantic (Jan. 5) and Rice (March 16)... collected a career-high four steals against Florida Atlantic (Jan. 5)... made a career-high eight free throws on a career-high nine attempts against Western Kentucky (Feb. 19)... scored double-figures in 11 contests.

Trying to overcome a grief-filled moment and coming up short with Southeast Missouri hitting a buzzer-beater in overtime held heavy in their hearts and minds. COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – A back-and-forth battle to the end, the Tennessee Tech women fell on the short end of Saturday’s 68-67 loss to Murray State. Macey Turley scored 11 points in the final 10 minutes as she was 4-for-5 from the field and 3-for-4 from long range Katelyn Young tied the game with 45 seconds remaining as she grabbed her own rebound and got the second-chance bucket. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jordan Brock tried her hardest to keep Tennessee Tech’s four-game winning streak alive and stretch it further against Belmont on Saturday. The senior knocked down seven 3-pointers and collected her second 30-point game of the season. But a hot-shooting Belmont squad was able to pull away in the second half to take a 73-61 victory at the Curb Event Center in the first of back-to-back games against the Bruins. Tech will host Belmont at the Hooper Eblen Center on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Since Belmont joined the Ohio Valley Conference, there aren’t many teams who have been able to beat them, posting a 120-27 record in league play, posting an incredible .816 winning percentage. In the last five years alone, the Bruins have lost only seven OVC contests – including four on the road with three losses at UT Martin. Before this season, Belmont had only lost once at the Curb Event Center during the span – a 77-72 loss to Tennessee Tech on January 5, 2019. And that was it – until this season. After Belmont had its program shut down from the COVID pandemic, the Bruins went from December 20 to January 19 without playing. That first game back ended up a 72-66 loss to Murray State at the Curb Event Center. Southeast Missouri also found paydirt in Nashville on Feb. 9, topping the Bruins 70-66.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – When Tennessee Tech took on Eastern Illinois in Charleston back in the early days of January, the Golden Eagle women got hot at just the right time. Facing a one-point deficit at the end of three quarters, Tech surged to a 72-67 victory. Eastern Illinois led by as many as 15 points midway through the third quarter and an extraordinary effort led by Maaliya Owens with nine points in the final 10 minutes helped erase the Panthers’ lead. MARTIN, Tenn. – UT Martin is the top team in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. There’s no debate on this – the Skyhawks have been toppled just once in league competition this season, a 72-67 loss at Jacksonville State back on December 30. Only one other team has knocked off the Skyhawks this season – No. 1-ranked Louisville. Twice. While this may seem to be an albatross to most teams, the Tennessee Tech women are standing their ground. The Golden Eagles have been in this situation before, breaking Belmont’s 47-game OVC winning streak a couple seasons back. In their illustrious history, the Tech women have also been on the other side of the equation, standing as the team with the target on their back. No question, Saturday’s game is a very important one for the Golden Eagles.
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Turnovers plagued the Tennessee Tech women all night long on Thursday, but the Golden Eagles just kept finding ways to endure and come back. With 50 seconds remaining, Tech tied the game after coming back from a 10-point deficit not even five minutes earlier. But with 22 seconds left, the turnover was costly. As LaTrese Saine stripped the ball away during a transition from Mackenzie Coleman to Jordan Brock, all Tech could do was foul and try to get the ball back. Despite a tremendous effort, the Golden Eagles saw Southeast Missouri escape with a 59-55 victory Thursday night at the Show Me Center.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- For the second straight week, Tennessee Tech junior guard/forward Anna Jones was selected as the Ohio Valley Conference's Newcomer of the Week, in a vote by the league's sports information contacts. The Jackson native averaged 12.0 points and 7.7 rebounds across Tech's three games last week. Jones posted a career-high 12 rebounds in addition to nine points and five assists on Saturday against Morehead State. On Thursday, the Middle Tennessee transfer scored 17 points on a 6-for-9 shooting night against Eastern Kentucky, including a 4-for-5 effort at the free-throw line. Last Monday, Jones added 10 points at Jacksonville State.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Against one of the more physical teams in the Ohio Valley Conference, the Tennessee Tech women held their own against Morehead State. In the meeting at Morehead, the Golden Eagles went down to the final possession. COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team returned back from Richmond, Ky., on January 9, head coach Kim Rosamond gathered the troops in the back of the bus, determined that the Golden Eagles were going to bounce back from a frustrating loss to the Colonels. “That was a tough weekend,” she said. “We were 0-2 on that road trip and we left Eastern Kentucky very, very disappointed. When we got back into Cookeville, I went to the back of the bus and told them if we could play as hard as we played against them, we would fix the execution piece.” In the five games since, it looks like they may be on the right path. JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – After a long week on the road, the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team ran into a determined Jacksonville State squad on Monday night. The homestanding Gamecocks shot the ball at a scorching rate, and while Tech rallied back late, JSU came up on the winning end, topping Tech 69-58 at Pete Mathews Coliseum. While the Golden Eagles were able to frustrate the Gamecocks early, forcing a few JSU turnovers, once Jacksonville State squad settled down, they shot the ball at a red-hot rate, going 6-of-13 from the field in the first quarter and only improving from there. The Gamecocks were 8-for-15 in the second and 7-for-9 in the third. JSU finished the contest shooting 50.9 percent from the field, including 7-for-15 from 3-point range and 6-for-11 from the free-throw line.

The Racer fans, however, certainly remembered her presence as Coleman helped set the stage for a 75-58 rout over Murray State at CFSB Center on Saturday. As Eastern Kentucky pulled away on runs, Tech responded chipping away and chipping away, even climbing back within one with 8:37 remaining in the contest. But as the Colonels started seeing the charity stripe more and more in the waning seconds, EKU was able to inflate its lead to the final margin of 73-65. The defeat spoiled Tech’s first two double-doubles of the season as senior Mackenzie Coleman grabbed her eighth career double-double and junior Anna Jones tacking on her first. Coleman led the Golden Eagles with 15 points and 10 boards, while Jones had 12 points and 10 rebounds.
RICHMOND, Ky. – If there's any team in the Ohio Valley Conference that is gunning for the Tennessee Tech women, Eastern Kentucky probably fits that bill. The Golden Eagles have taken the last four meetings and Tech owns a 70-28 record in the all-time series. With the Colonels reversing their trends of the past few seasons with a 4-5 start, 3-2 in the Ohio Valley, Saturday's contest could be an interesting matchup.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the game on the line, the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team came up big at the free-throw line, using a 17-for-19 night as the momentum to hold off Western Carolina 67-63 on Wednesday night at the Hooper Eblen Center. “Sometimes you just have to dig in and find ways to win,” said Tech head coach Kim Rosamond. “I thought our kids did, especially in the second half. There’s not much pretty about it other than it was a W. I’m proud of the way they were able to dig deep. We made plays when we had to make plays. We won the game at the free-throw line."
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – In just after her first two games in a Tennessee Tech uniform, junior guard/forward Anna Jones is already pulling in accolades as the Middle Tennessee transfer was named the co-recipient of the Ohio Valley Conference’s Newcomer of the Week award. The weekly OVC honors are selected by the league’s sports information contacts. Jones averaged 12 points for her first two contests, but against Jacksonville State, the Jackson native scored 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including a 4-for-6 effort from 3-point range. Jones also had four steals.

The Golden Eagles (1-1) pulled together a complete team effort on Sunday to knock off Jacksonville State in Tech’s Ohio Valley Conference opener and only league action until December 30. Senior Kesha Brady knocked down a pair of go-ahead free throws with four seconds remaining en route to 27 points – her third-highest point total in her career and most at home. She was also 13-of-16 from the free-throw line, a career-best as well.

After a tough outing at Chattanooga to open the 2020-21 campaign on Friday, the Tennessee Tech women overcame a late deficit in the fourth quarter to top Jacksonville State 68-66 on Sunday in the Hooper Eblen Center. “We have the utmost respect for Jacksonville State and head coach Rick Pietri,” Tech head coach Kim Rosamond said. “Year-in and year-out, they are among the top teams in the league, and we knew this was just going to be a battle. The improvements that our team made were just really incredible. I’m just really proud of them and their effort. This was just a total team win with some just unbelievable individual performances.” Senior Kesha Brady topped her total from Friday by one point as she ended Sunday’s victory with 27 points and six boards over 39 of 40 minutes as she helped the Golden Eagles rally from a seven-point JSU advantage with 6:39 remaining. Brady was named the Special Olympics Player of the Game after the effort.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team started quickly and finished strong. It was the middle two stanzas, however, that made it a tough day for the Golden Eagles. As Tech shook off the rust of opening the season in mid-December, the Golden Eagles still gave Chattanooga a fight in a 76-65 loss on Friday afternoon. Senior guard Kesha Brady put her effort into overdrive as she collected 11 of her 26 points in the final quarter as Tech bounced back from a 21-point deficit. She narrowly missed a double-double as she pulled down a team-high eight boards in the contest.

Up first, the Golden Eagles travel to Chattanooga on Friday to take on the Mocs at McKenzie Arena with opening tip slated for a 2 p.m. Central start. That game will be available on 106.1 The Eagle with Dylan Vazzano providing the radio call, while also streamed on ESPN+ with Chris Goforth and Todd Agne describing the action. Chattanooga will not allow fans outside of student-athlete families to attend through the end of December, due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Hamilton County.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After junior guard/forward Anna Jones transferred to Tennessee Tech after two seasons at Middle Tennessee, the question was when the Jackson, Tenn., native would be able to suit up in the Purple and Gold. That was answered this week as the NCAA granted immediate eligibility to Jones, allowing her to compete when the season begins. “This is great news for Anna but also great news for our program,” said Tech head coach Kim Rosamond. “Anna joined us last January, and our team has witnessed every day since her arrival how much of an impact she is capable of making on the court. We can’t wait for our fans to see her in a Tech uniform next week.”
