In 2017-18 (senior): Departed Tech as the 30th member of the 1,000-point club, scoring her 1,000th point on Dec. 7 in an 83-52 win over Cumberland… led Tech for the second-straight season in scoring, averaging 11.9 points per game… also led the team in rebounds with 6.0 per game and ranked second with 30.0 minutes played per game… scored in double-figures in 21 games, including a streak of nine-straight to end her career… put up a career-high 15 rebounds at Morehead State (Jan. 20) – her 10 points that same game gave Hickson her first double-double of the season… tallied another double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds at Jacksonville State (Feb. 8)… scored a season-high 23 points in the penultimate game of her career, a 68-65 win over Tennessee State (Feb. 22)… collected 37 assists, 15 blocks and 36 steals… earned preseason All-OVC honors… was named the Female Minority Student-Athlete of the Year by Tech’s Office of Multicultural Affairs in April 2018… signed to play for Tech legend Marynell Meadors’ Atlanta Monarchs, a member team of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League, also in April.

In 2016-17 (junior): Received All-OVC first team honors after finishing third in the OVC in scoring, averaging 16.9 points per game… started 29 of Tech’s 30 games, averaging 30.2 minutes per game… scored in double-figures in 23 games and reached 30+ points three times… put up two double-doubles, first at Southeast Missouri (Dec. 29) with 30 points and 12 rebounds (a new career-high) and next versus Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 28) with 14 points and 10 rebounds… her new career-high of 37 points came at Belmont (Jan. 21)… continued to hold strong at the free-throw line, leading the team with an 84.7 free-throw percentage (which also ranked third in the OVC)… averaged 4.0 rebounds and also added 49 assists, eight blocks and 29 steals.

In 2015-16 (sophomore): Played in 27 games, making 21 starts and averaging 22.2 minutes per game… bumped up her scoring average to 8.1 points per game… set a new career-high of 23 points against Belmont (Jan. 30) and seven rebounds at Jacksonville State (Feb. 6)… scored in double-figures 10 times… her 85.7 free throw percentage placed her second in the Tech record books for free throw percentage in a season.

In 2014-15 (freshman): Played in 29 games, making nine starts and averaging 17.9 minutes per game… set a career-high of 13 points at Jacksonville State (Feb. 14), shooting 80 percent from the field and going 4-of-4 from the free-throw line… played a career-high 36 minutes at Clemson (Dec. 6), which also marked her first-ever start… tallied a career-high six rebounds vs. Morgan State (Dec. 21)… scored in double-figures seven times… finished the year averaging 6.3 points per game.

High School: Hickson comes to Tech from Columbia High School in Decatur, Georgia, where she was part of back-to-back Class AAAA state championship teams in 2012 and 2013… during her junior season, she averaged 15.6 points, 3.9 steals and 2.7 assists per game… recognized as a Top 20 player and Player of the Month in January 2013 by the DeKalb County Tip-Off Club… was one of just two players from Georgia to be named to the Prospect Nation’s Elite 150 players.

Personal: Majoring in exercise science, physical education and wellness with a concentration in sport administration… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times (spring 2017, fall 2016, spring 2016, spring 2015) and the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll once (2016-17)… prefers to be called “Shug.”
