Golden Eagles Set to Compete at the Vanderbilt Indoor Music City Challenge
Nashville, Tenn.- Tennessee Tech Track & Field continues the 2026 Indoor Season at the Vanderbilt Indoor Music City Challenge in Nashville on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, at 9 a.m. CT.

Nashville, Tenn.- Tennessee Tech Track & Field continues the 2026 Indoor Season at the Vanderbilt Indoor Music City Challenge in Nashville on Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, at 9 a.m. CT.
The event will take place in Vanderbilt's Multipurpose facility, which includes a 120-yard-long indoor practice field, surrounded by a six-lane track and a 300-meter indoor track.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Golden Eagles delivered an impressive showing last week at the UAB Green and Gold Invitational, posting new personal records and seven top‑five finishes, including one first‑place performance.
Freshman Grainne Moran earned 2nd place in the 800m with a time of 2:09.93. Moran now sits with the top OVC 800m time and is just 0.1 seconds off the school record. Moran was recently named OVC Freshman of the Week on February 11th. Rachael Brewer also had a good performance, posting a personal‑best 800m time of 2:21.40.
Tech's sprinting squad continued flexing its young talent, with freshman Kennedi Winbush earning a bid to the 60m finals from a 4th‑place finish and a personal‑best time of 7.64 seconds in the 60m prelims. Winbush also posted a 6th‑place finish in the 200m with a time of 24.83 seconds. Winbush now holds the No. 6 time in the OVC for the 60m and the No. 3 time in the OVC for the 200m.
Hannah Little led the way for the 400m squad, recording a solid 7th‑place finish with a time of 57.15 seconds. Kyla Joy ran a personal‑best 400m time of 59.16 seconds. Analee Seratt made her 400m debut with a time of 1:00.80.
On the distance side, Rylee Wells recorded a 7th‑place finish in the mile with a personal‑best time of 5:06.92. Makaleigh Jessee notched a 9th‑place finish in the 3000m with a season‑best time of 10:15.16. Finishing right behind Jessee was freshman Jane Lokiles with a season‑best time of 10:16.13. Jessee now holds the No. 5 time in the OVC for the 3000m, with Jane Lokiles sitting right behind her at No. 6.
The jumping squad performed well, with Sidnee Stanton earning 3rd place in the long jump with a season‑best leap of 5.60m (18‑04.50). Stanton also ran a career‑best 60m time of 7.93 seconds. In the high jump, Madison Johnson positioned herself at No. 6 in the OVC standings after leaping a season‑best 1.65m (5‑05.00), earning 4th place. Ally Beneke jumped a height of 1.60m (5‑03.00), finishing 7th overall. In the triple jump, Tyla Street finished 8th with a leap of 11.16m (36‑07.50).
The pentathlon crew stood out with two new personal records. Chase Wolfenbarger earned 5th with a personal‑record score of 2,761. Wolfenbarger's performance consisted of four career‑bests, which included a 60m hurdles time of 9.57 seconds, a shot‑put throw of 8.82m (28‑11.25), a long jump leap of 4.96m (16‑03.25), and an 800m time of 2:53.96. Angela Hoover finished 8th with a career‑best score of 2,632. Hoover recorded two new personal‑best performances, which included a 60m hurdles time of 9.75 seconds and a shot‑put throw of 7.01m (23‑00.00).
On the men's side, Carter Bradford stood out, winning the men's mile with a personal‑best and school‑record time of 4:06. The Golden Eagles had three top‑ten finishers in the 3000m, with Luca Gambling earning 4th place with a career‑best time of 8:35.42. Cruz Hesling finished 6th with a time of 8:38.93, and Nic Chambers finished 8th with a career‑best time of 8:40.93.
