TTU Athletics to host NCAA tennis selection show viewing party Tuesday afternoon
The Tennessee Tech tennis team is back in the NCAA Tournament, and Tech Athletics invites all fans and alumni to be a part of the festivities as the Golden Eagles will find out where and when they will play during Tuesday’s NCAA Tournament selection show.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech tennis team is back in the NCAA Tournament, and Tech Athletics invites all fans and alumni to be a part of the festivities as the Golden Eagles will find out where and when they will play during Tuesday's NCAA Tournament selection show.
Be a part of all the hoopla and join the team in the Eagles Nest on the fourth floor of the Hooper Eblen Center for a special viewing party, celebrating the program's eighth trip, and second straight, to the NCAA Tournament. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. CT with the show kicking off at 4 p.m.
TTU will enter the exclusive field of 64 fresh off another championship driven campaign that saw the Golden Eagles collect a pair of titles in 2017. With another undefeated conference season, Tech captured the OVC regular season championship, the program's fifth in the last six years, and fourth undefeated slate over that stretch. The Golden Eagles then went into Nashville and seized their second-consecutive OVC Tournament title after knocking off Belmont, 4-1, in the semifinals, before taking down Eastern Kentucky, 4-0, in the championship match.
The NCAA Tournament first and second rounds are scheduled for May 12-14 in a variety of on-campus sites. The rest of the tournament, including the semifinals and finals, will take place May 18-23 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
