Spring 2024 (Junior): Irwin participated in one of the team's six events during the spring, completing three rounds of play… turned in a 242 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 17-19)… ended the year with an 86.50 scoring average.
Fall 2023 (Junior): Irwin took part in one of Tech's five tournaments in the fall, finishing three rounds of action… posted a season-low 77 in the opening round of The Carolina Cup (Oct. 8-10)… finished the fall with a 92.33 scoring average.
Spring 2023 (Sophomore): Irwin did not participate in any of the team’s four spring tournaments and one match-play event.
Fall 2022 (Sophomore): Irwin did not compete in any of the team’s five fall events.
Spring 2022 (Freshman): Irwin took part in one of the team's six events in the spring, completing two rounds of play… turned in a 79-81=160 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 14-15)… finished his first collegiate season with a scoring average of 79.13.
Fall 2021 (Freshman): Irwin competed in two of Tech’s four fall events, totaling six rounds of action… made his collegiate debut at The Grover Page Classic (Oct. 4-5), producing a season-best 79-76-76= 231… also took part in the Battle at Black Creek (Oct. 25-26), totaling an 80-77-85=242… concluded the fall season with a 78.83 scoring average.
High School: Irwin was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Dan Polites at Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, Ill.… was a four-time qualifier for the Illinois State Championship, earning Metro East Golf Coaches Association Player of the Year honors in 2018, 2019, and 2020… also earned All-Conference First Team honors and Metro East All-Area First Team accolades all four years of his high school career… as a sophomore, claimed the individual titles at both the South Seven Conference Championship and Illinois State Regionals, as well as the Illinois State Sectionals… during his junior season, he repeated as the South Seven Conference champion and Illinois State Regional title winner while earning a runner-up finish in the Illinois State Sectionals… picked up a runner-up showing at the Gateway PGA High School Championship as a senior… helped lead ACHS to South Seven Conference titles in 2018, 2019, and 2020 as well as Regional championships in 2018 and 2019… his team claimed Sectional runner-up finishes in each of his last three years and was the State Championship runner-up in 2019… saw a vast improvement from his freshman season to his senior campaign, shaving over seven shots of his 18-hole scoring average… starting in 2017, he posted yearly scoring averages of 79.8, 75.7, and 73.2 before turning in an impressive 72.4 for his final year.
