COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – There's just one more tune up before the Ohio Valley Conference tournament for the Tennessee Tech men's golf team, as the Golden Eagles head to Lexington, Ky. for the Bluegrass Invitational this weekend.

The 54-hole event will take place at the Kentucky University Club Big Blue Course. The par-72 course covers 6,992 yards. The tournament will begin with a 7:30 a.m. CT shotgun start that will feature a different first round format. Each team will get play together on the first day of action before being separated on the second day in a 7 a.m. fixed start.

Here's a look at the particpating teams in this year's event:

Eastern Kentucky
Morehead State
Northern Kentucky
Tennessee Tech
Wright State

The Golden Eagles enter the event just three days after tying for 11th in a 21-team field at the Red Wolf Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon.

"It's a privelege to be going to Kentucky's tournament this weekend," said head coach Polk Brown. "Playing against SEC competition is always something we look foward to doing. The field is really strong and playing with the different format will be a nice little curveball to be a part of. I think this event will be excellent preparation for the OVC tournament upcoming."
