Tech Athletics to host introductory press conference for John Pelphrey Friday afternoon
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The public is invited to a special press conference in the Eagles' Nest of the Hooper Eblen Center Friday afternoon as Tennessee Tech introduces John Pelphrey as the 13th head men's basketball coach in program history at 3:15 p.m. CT.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The public is invited to a special press conference in the Eagles' Nest of the Hooper Eblen Center Friday afternoon as Tennessee Tech introduces John Pelphrey as the 13th head men's basketball coach in program history at 3:15 p.m. CT.
Fans are encouraged to arrive by 3:00 Friday afternoon, with the press conference beginning at 3:15 p.m., hosted by university president Dr. Phil Oldham and director of athletics Mark Wilson.

Tech Atheltics announced the signing of Pelphrey as the newest additition to the Golden Eagle family Saturday morning. Pelphrey joins the purple and gold with over 25 years of Division I coaching experience including nine as a head coach at the University of South Alabama and the University of Arkansas. Most recently, he served as asoociate head coach to Avery Johnson at the University of Alabama and had also worked under current Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Billy Donovan at the Unviersity of Florida.
Pelphrey is married to the former Tracy Lyon and they have a son, Jaxson, and a daughter, Grace.
