Golden Eagles host Bryan College to cap double-header

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - Coming off an exciting 86-81 overtime win over
Ball State, the Tennessee Tech men's basketball team looks to stay
hot as they host Bryan College in the Eblen Center on Dec. 19.
Tip-off is scheduled at 8 p.m., and the game will be the second
half of a double-header with the Golden Eagle women's team after
their 6 p.m. game against Belmont.
Tech is a perfect 4-0 all-time against Bryan College, and last
faced the Lions in the season opener last year, when the Golden
Eagles topped Bryan 76-48. The Golden Eagles are 4-6 on the season
entering the game, and 0-1 in Ohio Valley Conference play. Bryan is
8-3, and will face Lee University on Dec. 18 before visiting Tech
on Dec. 19. The Lions are 5-3 on the road this season, while Tech
is 1-2 at home, including two overtime contests.
The Golden Eagles are led by Kevin Murphy who is scoring 14.4
points per game to go along with 3.6 rebounds. Frank Davis has hit
45.1 percent (23-of-51) of his 3-point attempts, and is averaging
12.9 points per game. Alfred Jones is Tech's leading rebounder,
collecting 5.1 boards per game to go along with 7.4 points, and the
OVC's reigning Freshman of the Week Jud Dillard is averaging 9.3
points and 3.9 rebounds per game. Elijah Muhammad has scored 10
points per game for the Golden Eagles, and leads the team in assist
with 4.5 per game.
Saturday's game will be broadcast live locally and worldwide. Local

The game is the third of four December home games for the Golden
Eagles. Tech will wrap up the month with a game against Union on
Dec. 30. The Golden Eagles will then jump back in to conference
play with a visit to Southeast Missouri (Jan. 2) and Eastern
Illinois (Jan. 4). Tech will host its first OVC game of the season
on Jan. 7 against defending OVC tournament champion Morehead State.
