90th Homecoming game to be held 11/13 vs. UT Martin
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As preparations begin for the Fall 2021 football campaign, Tennessee Tech announced on Friday the date of the 90th Homecoming game. The annual event will be held on Saturday, November 13 as the Golden Eagles host UT Martin.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As preparations begin for the Fall 2021 football campaign, Tennessee Tech announced on Friday the date of the 90th Homecoming game.
The annual event will be held on Saturday, November 13 as the Golden Eagles host UT Martin.
"Nothing brings students, alumni and the entire Golden Eagle community together like Homecoming," said Brandon Boyd, Director of Tech's Crawford Alumni Center. "It's a tradition. It's a gathering place for Golden Eagles.
"While we weren't able to celebrate Homecoming 2020 the way we would have preferred, we are hopeful that we'll be able to host in-person events this year. As long as it's safe to do so, we are planning to host the Class of 1971's Golden Grad Reunion and the 2021 Alumni Association Evening of Excellence Awards during Homecoming weekend."
Boyd continued, "We know alumni have missed being on campus – and we've missed them! We look forward to reminiscing, reconnecting and cheering on our Golden Eagle football team on to a win this November."
While the COVID-19 pandemic pushed the 2020 football season into the spring of 2021, the logistics of hosting a Homecoming celebration while maintaining social distancing guidelines and COVID protocols enforced by the NCAA and the Ohio Valley Conference proved difficult.
It is still unclear what local guidelines will be in place for the Fall 2021 season, but there is optimism about the approaching season.
The Golden Eagles are 48-40-1 all-time on Homecoming, defeating Jacksonville State 37-27 in the 2019 game. Tech has won five of the last six Homecoming games.
The Skyhawks have been the Golden Eagles' Homecoming guest just once before – Tech defeated UTM 21-14 in the 1996 edition.
More football weekend events will be announced at a later date.
