Game times released for 2016 Golden Eagle football schedule
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the beginning of Tennessee Tech’s football season just a few short weeks ahead, the start times for this season’s slate have been announced.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the beginning of Tennessee Tech's football season just a few short weeks ahead, the start times for this season's slate have been announced.
The Golden Eagles' schedule includes five home games, which includes the season opener on a Thursday night contest against Wofford on Sept. 1, starting at 6 p.m. Central.
The home slate also includes two Saturday night contests as the Golden Eagles entertain Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 1 and Eastern Illinois on Oct. 15. Both of those games are 6 p.m. starts.
The Tucker Stadium portion of the schedule wraps up with two afternoon games. Tech hosts Southeast Missouri on Oct. 22 for its annual Homecoming contest, while the regular-season finale will be Nov. 19 against Murray State. Each contest is scheduled for a 1:30 p.m. start.
Away from Cookeville, the Golden Eagles have an early three-game road trip. Tech heads to Clarksville, Tenn., to take on Austin Peay in the Golden Eagles' Ohio Valley Conference opener on Sept. 10 with a 6 p.m. start. The following week, the Golden Eagles head south to Macon, Ga., to take on Mercer for a 5 p.m. Central start. On Sept. 24, Tech wraps up the first month of the season at UT Martin with a 2 p.m. start.
Tech is on the road once in October, heading to Jacksonville State on Oct. 8 for a 1 p.m. start.
The Golden Eagles open up November on the road with a quick jaunt to Knoxville to take on Southeastern Conference foe Tennessee on Nov. 5. The start time for that game will be announced approximately two weeks before the game.
The following week, Tech continues its tour of Tennessee as it heads to Nashville to take on Tennessee State on Nov. 12 for a 3 p.m. start at Hale Stadium.
