Bio

Chris owns a strong and accurate leg, and is an unselfish player willing to fill whatever role is needed...handled nearly all kickoff chores as a true freshman, and will continue in that role in 2013...available for placekicking duties, as well was effective in launching his kicks deep and high, and placing them where he wanted...made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll last fall.

AT TECH (IN 2012): Chris played in all 11 contests for the Golden Eagles as a true freshman, earning the role on kickoffs...kicked 57 times and averaged 59.5 yards per kick with 12 touchbacks...only one attempt went out of bounds...successful on his lone PAT attempt at Tennessee State (Oct. 27).

IN HIGH SCHOOL: The 2010 and 2011 District 8AAA Kicker of the Year, Chris was a punter and placekicker who had an outstanding career at Columbia Central High School for coach Vance Belew...helped the Lions win the 2010 TSSAA Class 5A state title in Tucker Stadium after a second place finish in 2009...named first-team All-Mid-State...four-year letterwinner on the football team and also added three letters in soccer and one on the baseball team...as a senior, he was 7-for-8 in field goal tries and was 55-for-56 on PAT attempts...averaged 37 yards per punt and knocked 58 of his 72 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks...wrapped up his career going 15-for-21 on field goals and 139 for 145 in PATs, with a 38.5 punting average.

PERSONAL: Chris is the son of Gaylon Elaine Harris... majoring in mechanical engineering...full name is Chris Lee Harris....born November 22, 1993.
