COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team has announced that its alumni weekend, originally slated for this Saturday, Sept. 29, has been reschedule to Saturday, Oct. 27.

Due to heavy rains in the Cookeville area and unplayable field conditions, the team has canceled its exhibition contest originally schedule for Saturday, Sept. 29. The team's other exhibition contest will take place at the Averitt Express Baseball Complex on Oct. 27 as part of the rescheduled alumni weekend.

Any alumni planning to attend this weekend's festivities are encouraged to still do so. The 2018 Ohio Valley Conference regular season champions, NCAA Oxford Regional champions and NCAA Super Regional participant team members will be honored during the Tennessee Tech football game. Former All-American first baseman Chase Chambers will also be recognized for his individual statistical achievements ranked at the national level.

Alumni wishing to attend can still get complimentary tickets to the 6 p.m. CT football game at Tucker Stadium when the Golden Eagles host Eastern Illinois in OVC action.
