Stephen Pryor promoted to Seattle Mariners' Double A Jackson Generals

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With his promotion to the Seattle Mariners' Double A team, the Jackson Generals, Stephen Pryor is headlining the summer as nine former TTU baseball players look to continue their journey to the show.
Showing a great amount of improvement on the High Desert
Mavericks, Pryor has been promoted to the Jackson Generals. Since
the promotion, Pryor has not missed a beat as he has pitched 5.1
innings, striking out six batters in four appearances. Maintaining
a 3.38 ERA, Pryor has pitched at least one inning in all of his
appearances, while giving up no hits.
Adam Liberatore has made just one appearance since our last
update, as his pitched two shutout innings against the Lakeland
Flying Tigers. On the season, Libertore has posted a 2.62 ERA and
has tallied four wins. He has also tallied 52 strikeouts, while
issuing just 17 free passes.
Ryan Dennick of the Wilmington Blue Rockets has also kept his
opponents off the scoreboard as he has thrown four shutout innings
in his last two games. Dennick has not allowed a run to cross in
six of his last 10 appearances, while striking out 10 batters
during that span.
Chad Oberacker’s bat has come alive in his last two
games for the Vermont Lake Monsters. In seven at bats, Oberacker
has tallied three hits, including a double and a run scored. He is
currently batting .303 on the season, with 27 hits and eight
RBIs.
So far, A.J. Kirby-Jones has appeared in 64 games for the
Burlington Bees who have won nine contests since the second half
began. Kirby-Jones is currently third on the team in home runs with
eight.
In addition to the five players listed above, head coach Matt
Bragga also has four former players playing in the independent
leagues. Fresh off his first half championship with the Long Island
Ducks, Bubbie Buzachero recently earned his 12th save of
the season, throwing one inning, while giving up one un-earned
run.
Jim Ed Warden of the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs has earned
his 16th save of the season and is second on the team
with a 2.00 ERA. His teammate Casey Benjamin has raised his batting
average to .261, while hitting eight home runs and 11 doubles on
the season.
Lee Henry of the Shreveport-Bossier Captains, still remains
unbeaten and is currently 4-0.
