MARTIN, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech saw its beach volleyball season come to a close on the second day of the Ohio Valley Conference Beach Volleyball Championships at UT Martin as No. 4-seeded Morehead State claimed a 3-0 victory over the Golden Eagles. Audrey Kilgore and Cristina Rotola took Morehead’s Logan Smith and Amelia Nott to the brink in the No. 4 matchup as the MSU pair took the first set 21-10 before the Tech duo won the second 21-19. It all came down to the tiebreaker as Smith and Nott had to go to extra points to claim an 18-16 win.
MARTIN, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech was battling with UT Martin on Thursday in the opening round of the Ohio Valley Conference Beach Volleyball Championships, but the Skyhawks were able to close out three pairings before the Golden Eagles could clinch one, giving UTM a 3-0 victory.
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Tennessee Tech finished the Ohio Valley Conference regular season on Saturday with a pair of shortened matches to try to beat impending weather, taking a 3-1 loss to Eastern Illinois and a 3-0 loss to Chattanooga. The Golden Eagles will compete in next week’s OVC Beach Volleyball Championship in Martin, Tenn., taking on the host Skyhawks on Thursday at Noon. The winner between the No. 3 Skyhawks and No. 6 Golden Eagles will take on No. 2 Lindenwood at 4 PM, while the loser will compete in the consolation bracket on Friday at Noon.

The Golden Eagles fell to Lindenwood 5-0 in the opener, then fell to UT Martin in the late morning session 5-0.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech collected a win in the sand Saturday as the Golden Eagles split its final day at the Austin Peay Invitational, claiming a 3-2 victory over Southwest Baptist before the host Governors claimed a 3-2 win over Tech. The Golden Eagles conclude the regular season next week at Morehead State at the second Ohio Valley Conference Play Day weekend.

Tech (2-17, 0-6 OVC) returns to action on Friday and Saturday as the Golden Eagles compete at the APSU Classic in Clarksville.
CHATTANOOGA – Ohio Valley Conference preseason favorite Chattanooga took the first match against the Tennessee Tech beach volleyball team on Friday during the first day of the OVC Play Day weekend, but the Golden Eagles wouldn’t go away empty-handed as Tech picked up a point against Lindenwood in the nightcap. Tech (2-15) continues the OVC meet on Saturday as it takes on Eastern Illinois at 11 AM and UT Martin at 5 PM.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech had a tough start to the 2026 beach volleyball season as the Golden Eagles ran into a buzzsaw with undefeated Carson-Newman on Friday. The host Eagles took both matches Friday by identical 5-0 scores to improve to 7-0 on the season.
