Tech Video Production wins OVCDN Program of Excellence Award
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech Department of Athletics isn’t just winning hardware on the court as the office of video production and the Golden Eagle Sports Network took home one of the Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network Program of Excellence Awards on Thursday. Tech was recognized in Excellence in In-Game Features for Dylan Vazzano’s interview with new Golden Eagle head football coach Dewayne Alexander, which ran during halftime of the Tech men’s basketball game against Belmont this past season.

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech Department of Athletics isn't just winning hardware on the court as the office of video production and the Golden Eagle Sports Network took home one of the Ohio Valley Conference Digital Network Program of Excellence Awards on Thursday.
Tech was recognized in Excellence in In-Game Features for Dylan Vazzano's interview with new Golden Eagle head football coach Dewayne Alexander, which ran during halftime of the Tech men's basketball game against Belmont this past season. The interview was produced by Brian Kazaks from Tech's Video Production group.
"We couldn't be more thrilled to see our people recognized for their tireless hours of hard work," said Tech director of athletics Mark Wilson. "A lot of people don't see what goes on behind the scenes of our athletic events, but there is a talented group of individuals under our roof who work countless hours to shine our student-athletes and our department under the brightest light possible.
"We know every coach, every student-athlete has a story to tell, and through their efforts, we weave a rich tapestry that is Tennessee Tech athletics."
Jacksonville State received the Overall Award of Excellence for a Professional Production, while Belmont earned four awards, including the Campus Production category under the Overall Award of Excellence, Excellence in Clarity of Production, Excellence in Graphics and Excellence in Ancillary Programming. Austin Peay received the award for Professionalism in Announcing.
OVC member institutions submitted nominations for each of the award categories and those nominations were viewed and judged by the OVC Assessment and Accountability Subcommittee who determined the individual winners.
