Bio
In 2016 (Senior): Murray recorded one second-place and six third-place team finishes on the 2016 year...recorded a career-best 6K time at the NCAA South Regionals on Nov. 11, where she completed the race 117th overall with a time of 22:39.9...recorded a season-best 5K time of 18:28.6 at the OVC Championships on Oct. 29, when she placed 35th overall.
Before Tech: A distance runner from Kenya, Purity is a combined eight-time junior college All-American in cross country and track & field at New Mexico Junior College. She has also received All-Region V honors and all-conference recognition for her efforts in cross country. Her career-best at 3,000m is 10:36.85, with a 3,000m steeplechase best of 11:33.77. She has also posted personal best times of 18:02.10 at 5K and 38:58.07 at 10K.
Personal: Murray is a native of Eldoret, Kenya...majoring in nursing.

The Tennessee Tech men and women’s cross country team headed down to Tallahassee, Fla., on Friday for the NCAA Division I South Regionals to test their training against some of the top schools in the area. The men claimed an 11th place finish, while the Golden Eagle women placed 21st respectively.
