Mary Beth is a promising young athlete who specializes as a
middle distance runner...She is a Golden Eagle newcomer in 2009 who
is coming off a strong high school career.
HIGH SCHOOL: Mary Beth comes to Tech from Rhea
County High School, where she was a standout runner for Coach
Steffan Holder's squads...She lettered in track for all four years,
and one year in cross country...ran on a 4X800 relay team that
broke a school record in 2006, and then broke that record in
2008...qualified for the TSSAA state meet in sophomore year, and
qualified for the district, regional, and sub-state meets during
her last three years...co-captain of the 4X800 team in her junior
and senior years.
