Bio
Danielle is a talented athlete and is competing in hurdles and
relays for the Golden Eagles in her third season after a successful
prep career at Rhea County High School...was a high school teammate
of fellow Golden Eagle sophomore Leayn Carter...outstanding student
and versatile athlete...also played soccer in high school.
AT TECH - (In 2008-09):
Danielle competed in the 55m hurdles, and the 55m and 400m dash
events during the spring indoor track season...best time in the 55m
hurdles was when she clocked in a 10.08 at the Sewanee
Invitational, a personal career best...also posted a time of 8.03
in the 55m dash at Sewanee, which stands as another personal best
mark...in the 400m dash, she achieved another personal career-best
time of 1:05.55 at the OVC Indoor Championships...also competed in
three outdoor season events - the 200m and 400m dash competitions
and the 400m hurdles...posted a career-best time of 27.88 in the
200m dash at Winthrop...in the 400m dash, she accomplished another
career-best mark of 1:01.98 at Murray State...in the 400m hurdles
event, she nearly achieved a career-best time at the OVC meet,
where her 1:10.97 mark was just two-tenths of a second shy of her
career-best time in the event.
(In 2007-08): In her first year on the Tech squad,
Danielle competed in two indoor events, the 60m and 200m runs...in
the 60m competition, she finished with an 8.78 performance in the
ETSU Invitationals...she placed the second-best time in the 200m
with a 29.57 finish, also at ETSU...she also participated in two
outdoor events, the 100m run and the 400m hurdles...she registered
a 13.61 time in the 100m competition at the Purdue
Invitational...in the 400m hurdles, she placed the best time on the
squad for 2008 with a 1:10.77 finish at the OVC Championships...she
participated in the 4X400 relay event at the OVC Championships,
where her team finished with a time of 4:08.25, which stands in the
record books as the fifth-best time in Tech history for the
event.
HIGH SCHOOL: Danielle was the captain of the
hurdles teams at Rhea County for coach Stefan Holder...ran the 100m
and 300m hudles and also competed in the relays...helped the 4x400
relay team finish 13th in the TSSAA state meet...also a top-notch
soccer player...lettered two years on the soccer team and was named
MVP both year, along with Best Offensive Player and Best Defensive
Player.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Rodney Catlett and
Christine Cotter...full name is Danielle Rae Catlett...born April
10, 1989 in Oak Ridge...enrolled in civil engineering.
