High School: Shaneyfelt was a two-sport athlete at Pinckneyville Community High School in Pinckneyville, Ill., earning four letters in volleyball as a setter for head coach Katie Shaneyfelt and three letters in soccer as a striker for head coach John Jay Ray… earned All-River to River Conference honors in both soccer and volleyball as a sophomore, junior, and senior… picked up Southern Illinois Coaches Association (SICA) All-South Team honors in 2020, 2021, and 2022… named to The News-Gazette’s All-State Special Mention 50 as a senior and All-State Honorable Mention 100 following her junior campaign… selected to the Junior Volleyball Association Watch List in 2019, 2020, and 2021… claimed three straight conference titles in volleyball as a freshman, sophomore, and junior… added a regional championship in volleyball during her freshman campaign… tallied 1,642 career assists as a setter in volleyball and 68 goals as a striker in soccer.

Personal: Daughter of Gene and Katie Shaneyfelt… born in Carbondale, Ill. on March 29, 2005… full name is Jillian Jean Shaneyfelt… sister, Elaine, is a senior setter at Cumberland University and played at John A. Logan College from 2020-21… father, Gene, played golf at John A. Logan College for two years and was the head men’s golf coach at Southern Illinois from 1993-96.

Academic: Majoring in multidisciplinary studies.
