Fall 2021 (Junior): Toennessen played in two of Tech’s four fall events, completing six rounds of action… produced a season-low 235 at the Terrier Intercollegiate (Oct. 25-26), turning in rounds of 78, 79, and 78… collected a top-25 finish at the Chris Banister Golf Classic (Oct. 10-12), delivering a 241… ended the fall season with a scoring average of 79.33.
Spring 2021 (Sophomore): Toennessen participated in three of the team’s six tournaments in the spring, totaling eight rounds of play… carded a season-low round of 78 to open the Jan Weaver Invitational (Apr. 8-9), shooting a season-best 245… concluded the year with an 83.25 scoring average.
Fall 2020 (Sophomore): The 2020 fall season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Spring 2020 (Freshman): Toennessen took part in the team's only event of the spring before the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic… turned in a 237 behind a third-round 75 at the Kiawah Island Classic (Mar. 1-3)… named the inaugural winner of the team's new Coach's Award… finished her first season with a scoring average of 79.25.
Fall 2019 (Freshman): Toennessen competed in all five of Tech's fall tournaments, racking up 13 rounds of action… made her collegiate debut at the MSU Greenbrier Invitational (Sept. 16-17), posting an 81-80-83=244… turned in a 233 to tie for 14th for her best finish of the year at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate (Sept. 30-Oct. 1)… finished with a 149 behind a second-round 73, her best round of the year and second time firing one, at the Town and Country Invitational (Oct. 28-29)… wrapped up the fall with a scoring average of 79.31.
High School: Toennessen attended Dahlske Upper Secondary School in Grimstad, Norway… joined her sisters in competing for the Grimstad GolfKlub… claimed victory in the 1st Division Team NM competition, earning the right to play in the elite division next year and compete among the eight best teams in all of Norway.
Personal: Daughter of Trine and Torbjorn Toennessen… born March 19, 2000… full name is Katrine Toennessen… her twin sister, Elisabeth, also plays for Golden Eagles… oldest sister, Maria, played golf at Ole Miss from 2013-17… joined her twin sister Elisabeth as the first international signees in program history.
Academic: Majoring in economics… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll five times and to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll twice… recognized as a WGCA All-American Scholar for 2019-20.
