2022-23 (at Transylvania, senior): Kellione helped lead the Pioneers to a perfect 33-0 campaign in 2022-23, including an 18-0 march through the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and a dominant run through the NCAA D-III tournament field, winning the national championship with a 57-52 victory over Christopher Newport. Kellione led the team in scoring with a 15.3 point-per-game average, ranking 26th nationally in scoring on the Division III level, while she also dished out 145 assists – an average of 4.4 per game and ranked 13th nationally.

This past season alone saw a lot of accolades. In addition to being named the NCAA Division III Championship Most Valuable Player, Kellione was a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association First-Team All-American, a D3Hoops Region 8 first-teamer, a D3Hoops Second-Team All-American, a first-team All-HCAC pick, a two-time HCAC Player of the Week and the HCAC Tournament MVP.

Kellione also earned a prestigious academic honor as she was awarded the NCAA’s Elite 90 Award, which recognizes the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average who reaches the championship for each of the NCAA’s 90 men’s and women’s sports across Division I, II and III. With a 3.94 cumulative GPA in physics and minors in math, computer science and biology, Kellione will also be an excellent addition to a Golden Eagle squad that has excelled in the classroom.

She was recently named Transylvania’s Female Athlete of the Year for the second straight season, and repeated as the HCAC Female Athlete of the Year as the award was announced on Thursday.

Through her three seasons played at Transylvania, Kellione has 1,233 points (15.2 per game), 278 rebounds (3.4 per game), 300 assists (3.7 per game), while shooting .455 from the floor, .383 from 3-point range with 146 3-pointers, and .815 from the free throw line with 303 made charity tosses. She also has 124 steals.

ACADEMICS: With a degree already in hand, Kellione is currently working toward a master's degree in computer science.

Tech women's basketball opens season Monday morning at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. – The exhibitions are in the books, now it’s time to get to business. The Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team will hit the road to open up the campaign on Monday morning and they won’t have to wait long to get the 2023-24 season underway. It’ll be an early matinee as the Golden Eagles take on Ball State at 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central for the Cardinals’ Field Trip Day. With area school children filling up BSU’s Worthen Arena, it’ll be a loud, exciting atmosphere to open up the campaign. Roger Ealey will have the call live on 106.1 The Eagle, while the game can also be streamed on ESPN+ (subscription required).

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Tennessee Tech women's basketball team cut the nets down in Evansville in March at the Ford Center. As head coach Kim Rosamond returned with graduate standout Maaliya Owens on Tuesday for Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Media Day, it wasn't to reminisce on the past, it was to focus on the task ahead of them. While the Tech women are picked to win the OVC for the second straight season, the thought on their mind is simple – it's time to get down to business. In addition to the Golden Eagles getting the nod from the league voters, consisting of the women's basketball coaches and sports information contacts, graduate guard Owens was also named the conference's Preseason Player of the Year and senior forward Anna Walker was named to the Preseason All-OVC team.

Rosamond gets extension through 2027-28 campaign

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After one of the most successful seasons for the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball team with an Ohio Valley Conference championship and a victory in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, Kim Rosamond has certainly cemented a place for herself in the program’s history. She’ll get the opportunity to add to her legacy in Cookeville as Rosamond received a five-year contract extension through the end of the 2027-28 campaign, as announced today by Tennessee Tech Director of Athletics Mark Wilson. “Kim Rosamond has had a vision for the Tennessee Tech women’s basketball program since the day she first walked in to the Hooper Eblen Center,” Wilson said. “Her determination, her commitment to Golden Eagle basketball has been tremendous and the results speak for themselves. As the team continues to build on its legacy, Coach Rosamond’s teams have brought the University and the community together in support and I truly believe what she has built over these last few years is only the beginning.”

Challenging schedule ahead for Tech women's basketball in 2023-24

2023-24. It’ll be a challenging schedule to say the least, but the Tech program has never strayed away from a challenge. In the non-conference portion of the slate, Tech will host Christian Brothers in the annual Purple Palooza exhibition doubleheader on October 26, then open the schedule with a trip up to Muncie, Ind., to take on Ball State on Nov. 6.
