2021-22 (Junior): Saw action in three games, averaging 4.9 minutes ... averaged 0.7 points and 1.3 rebounds ... was a .333 shooter from the field ... had a season-high two points against Bethel (11/9/21).

2020-21 (Sophomore): Saw action in four games, averaging 5.4 minutes ... averaged 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds ... was a .714 shooter from the field ... had a career-best six points, three rebounds, one steal and a block against Tennessee State (Jan. 16, 2021).

2019-20 (Freshman):  Appeared in five games… scored her first career point against Tennessee Wesleyan (Dec. 29) after going 2-of-2 from the free-throw line… grabbed a season-high two rebounds against Cumberland (Tenn.) (Nov. 5), Detroit Mercy (Nov. 30) and Tennessee Wesleyan (Dec. 29).

Tech women's basketball seniors leave tremendous legacy

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Time flies by quickly. In such a short amount of time, so many things happen. Highlights, adversity, change – all of that and more. following Tennessee Tech women’s basketball’s game against UT Martin, the five senior members of the Golden Eagle roster – sixth-year senior Jordan Brock, Jada Guinn, D.J. McFarlane, Maaliya Owens and manager Ben Trosper – will be honored as the team holds its Senior Day festivities. This group has led the Golden Eagles to 98 victories across six seasons, guiding Tech to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship game in 2021-22, a second-place finish in the regular season and two postseason appearances with the WBI in 2019 and the WNIT in 2022.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech’s seniors put on a show Saturday as the Golden Eagles picked up an important victory at the Eblen Center, securing at least the No. 3-seed and a first-round bye in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament in Evansville with a 74-63 victory over UT Martin. Two games remain in the regular season. Little Rock clinched at least a share of the regular-season title with a victory Saturday over Eastern Illinois – and the Golden Eagles (17-9, 11-5 OVC) could technically tie Eastern Illinois with two Tech wins and two EIU losses, but the Panthers would have the tiebreaker by virtue of beating Little Rock, the top-seeded team.

McFarlane named November Unsung Leader honoree

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – A smile and a positive attitude goes a long way. So does being open to help out their fellow neighbors. When Tennessee Tech senior D.J. McFarlane finishes her day in class and practice, the Beltsville, Md., native has become a visible figure in the community. Through her efforts, McFarlane was selected as the winner of November’s Unsung Leader Award. “D.J. has not only elevated her game on the floor, but she has also elevated her game in the community,” said Tech women’s basketball assistant coach Allison Clark. “She is always volunteering for all of our community service opportunities. Everyone always wants her to stay and come back.”
