COOKEVILLE, Tenn. –  Fresh off a 21-win season, an appearance in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship game, and the first WNIT win in 16 years, the momentum continues to build for Tennessee Tech women’s basketball as head coach Kim Rosamond announced the signing of junior college All-American Kiera Hill on Monday. Hill, a transfer from Walters State, made her mark in the paint for Coach Jasmin Coleman and the Lady Senators. The 5-10 post player earned NJCAA second-team All-America honors this past season and the numbers speak for themselves – Hill played and started in all 26 games for Walters State, averaging 18.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Her scoring average was the 13th best rated in the country on the JUCO level.

HOUSTON, Texas – Tennessee Tech wasn’t going down without a fight. After all, throughout the course of the 2021-22 season, the Golden Eagle women had never backed down against tough odds, even against opponents from the upper echelon of the sport. The Golden Eagles had an opportunity. If you look at the final score, it’s misleading. The eight-point margin that Houston held on the final tally was from only its third lead of the game, boosted by a 3:17 scoring drought for Tech and nine unanswered points to take a 63-55 victory over the Golden Eagles in the second round of the WNIT.
