The only senior on the track & field team roster, Tiara will provide leadership while competing for her final season...has enjoyed three successful seasons and has show improvement each year, putting her on track to become a much bigger contributor in 2016..competes in sprints and relays.
AT TECH (IN 2014-15): Competed in four different events during the indoor season and five events outdoors...ran the 60m, 200m, 300m and 400m races indoors...had times at 100m, 200m and 400m outdoors, in addition to the 4x100m and 4x400m relays...had Tech's best times indoors at both 60m (7.89 seconds) and 200m (26.45)...posted Tech's fastest times outdoors at 100m (12.35) and 200m (25.44).(IN 2013-14): (Indoor) Tiara competed in the 400m, 800m, 4x4 relay, and the distance medley relay...achieved a personal record in the 400m of 1:03.49 at the OVC indoor championships. (Outdoor) Due to an injury, Tiara only competed in one meet in outdoor season.
(IN 2012-13): During the 2012-13, Tiara competed in the outdoor season only, running the 200m, 400m, and 400m hurdles ... she ran a personal-best 1:02.97 in the 400m race at the Vanderbilt meet ... she also ran a leg of the 4x400m relay at the OVC Outdoor Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: A dual sport athlete at Ridgeway High School in Memphis, Tiara competed in both track and soccer ... finished ninth in junior olympics...during her high school competitions, she made it to state meet every year...earned the Most Valuable Runner award and the Wilma Rudolph Award...captain of both the track and soccer teams.
PERSONAL: Tiara Louise Hyman is the daughter of Luther Hyman and Tametria Robinsan ... born Feb. 17, 1994 in Memphis...majoring in biochemistry.
