Sharnique is a January addition to the Tennessee Tech track & field team, moving south from Iowa Western Community College...a talented, multi-event athlete from St. Lucia who has captured a bundle of honors and awards...can add a new dimension to the fast-improving Golden Eagle roster.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Ran two seasons on the track & field team at Iowa Western Community College...competed in the heptathlon...placed third in the 100m hurdles at the JuCo Nationals...finished fourth in the pentathlon and eighth in the high jum with a personal best of 5feet, 6 inches.
HIGH SCHOOL: Sharnique attended Ciceron Secondary School, where she competed for five seasons on the track & field team...also payed netball and volleyball...named the school's Athlete of the Year twice...competed in multi-events on the track...competed nationally winning the silver medal in the pentathlon at the Carifta Games.
PERSONAL: The daughter of Florence Florent and Julian Leonce...born October 24, 1993 in St. Luicia...fill name is Sharnique Vern Leonce...majoring in EXPW with concentration in physical therapy.
