Bio
Rush has played four seasons for Eagles Landing Christian in McDonough, Ga., and comes in highly decorated, receiving four first-team all-region honors, two Area Pitcher of the Year honors, a GACA Junior and Senior All-Star nod, as well as a second-team All-State pick in 2020 and two first-team All-State selections in 2021 and 2022.
Her numbers certainly back it up – in her prep career, she has thrown over 900 strikeouts with 77 victories, while also hitting well with a .480 batting average, a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage.
In her senior campaign, she batted .613 with 13 home runs and 35 RBI, complete with a .723 on-base percentage. In the circle, she hurled her way to a 1.40 ERA and 250 strikeouts as she was named the Area 5 Player of the Year and leading her team to a region championship and an Elite Eight spot in the state tournament.
Her team also reached the Elite Eight in 2019, the Sweet 16 in 2020 and finished third in 2021.
Rush's softball skills run in the family as her sister – Hope Rush-Songalia – played four seasons at Georgia Tech between 2010 and 2013 and earned All-America honors, while her father – Bo Rush – was also her prep coach.
Rush also played club softball with GA Power Tuñón.

While the start of the 2024 conference campaign has seen the Redhawks a little more level in the race thus far, SEMO is still a very dangerous opponent – after all, historically, Tennessee Tech and Southeast Missouri have been among the top programs since the league first sponsored softball. MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech had a chance to leave Memphis with three victories on the weekend, but the host Memphis Tigers were able to stave off the threat, holding off the Golden Eagles 2-1 to earn their first victory of the season. Tech (6-3) returns to action on Tuesday as it travels to Western Carolina for a 3 p.m. contest.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech split its action in the first day of the Blues City Tournament on Friday as the Golden Eagles defeated DePaul 8-4 in their opener, but fell to Indiana State 13-0 in five innings in the second game to break the five-game winning streak. Tech (5-1) will take on the same two teams again on Saturday as the Golden Eagles take on DePaul at 11 a.m., then Indiana State at 7 p.m.
MEMPHIS – The Tennessee Tech softball team will get back in action this weekend as the Golden Eagles look to build on their 4-0 start with contests at the Blues City Tournament, hosted by the University of Memphis. The Golden Eagles had an unexpected open week last weekend after their games at the Defend the Bluff Tournament in Baton Rouge, La., were canceled for impending weather. This weekend’s event will see Tech take on DePaul and Indiana State on both Friday and Saturday, before taking on the host Tigers in a Sunday matinee.
CLINTON, S.C. – Tennessee Tech’s offense came out in force on Saturday as the Golden Eagles put together 20 runs in two contests to improve to 4-0 on the season – the program’s first 4-0 start since 1997. Tech topped Norfolk State 8-0 in five innings in the day’s opener, then put a 12-spot against Presbyterian for a 12-2 victory to close out its action in the Blue Hose Invitational.
