Bio
2021 (Freshman): Saw action in 10 games ... had a .333 batting average as she collected one hit in three at-bats ... collected her first hit at Eastern Kentucky (April 25).
HIGH SCHOOL: Richardson has shown great numbers in her sophomore and junior campaigns at Maryville. She currently has a .459 batting average with 56 hits, including five doubles and four triples. She has driven in 22 runs, while scoring 36 times. She has 21 stolen bases and a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield. She batted .520 during her junior campaign.
Richardson was named all-state in 2019 as she was a two-time all-District 4-AAA and three-time all-Region 2-AAA selection. This past season, she was on the district all-tournament team. Richardson was a member of TN Mojo's Triple Crown national championship team, along with fellow signee Fitzgerald.
"Brooklin is just a real gritty, get down to work player," DePolo said. "She brings a look from the left side of the plate, along with the speed and quickness we need in a balanced lineup. Her passion for the sport of softball and Tennessee Tech are infectious."

OXFORD, Ala. – When all was said and done in the second game for the Tennessee Tech softball team on Wednesday in the Ohio Valley Conference Softball Championship, the Golden Eagles had a great opportunity against UT Martin in the seventh inning. After all, trailing 5-4 with the bases loaded and two out, there was a great chance for Tech to take the lead back and advance in the winner’s bracket. Abby Buettner battled, taking a 2-2 count and fouling off another pitch. The sixth pitch in the sequence, however, seemed to be a routine foul ball. Instead, UT Martin first baseman Kaitlyn Kelley ran the ball down, slid into the infield wall and made the catch for the game-ending out.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech softball team honored its seniors on Saturday, but it turned out to be a tough day for the Golden Eagles as Murray State, still looking to unseat Belmont from the top spot in the Ohio Valley Conference, took two from Tech on Saturday. The Racers (34-14-1, 18-6 OVC) won game one 7-3 behind OVC Pitcher of the Year contender Hannah James, but it was a close game for most of the contest with Murray not collecting its first hit until the fifth inning.

The Golden Eagles (11-6) return to action on Sunday for the final game of the series, starting at 12 p.m. Central. Haeli Bryson and Mackenzie Fitzgerald both went yard for the Golden Eagles. Fitzgerald’s blast came as a solo shot in the top of the fifth inning, then Bryson knocked out two in the nightcap, leading off the fourth and fifth innings with solo shots.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech softball team lost a heartbreaker on Sunday afternoon to close out the Chattanooga Challenge as the Golden Eagles took the lead in the top of the seventh inning, only to see Radford dash their hopes for the win with a walkoff home run to fall to the Highlanders 5-4. Tech (7-3) will return home to take on Northern Iowa for a midweek contest to open the season’s action at Tech Softball Field on Wednesday, weather permitting. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. and admission is free.
CLINTON, S.C. -- One thing the Tennessee Tech softball team showed on Saturday is resiliency. After falling behind early in both games on Saturday in the Blue Hose Invitational, the Golden Eagles found ways to knot the games up. However, both games ended in opposite directions as the Golden Eagles blasted South Carolina State 13-2 in five innings, then Northern Kentucky hit a one-out, walk-off home run to hand Tech its first defeat of the season 6-5. The Golden Eagles (3-1) close out the Blue Hose Invitational on Sunday as they take on South Carolina State with first pitch slated for 11:15 a.m.
