In 2016 (Freshman): Leigh appeared in 41 games, making 29 starts for the Golden Eagles, primarily from the circle or first base...hit .266 (21-79) with four doubles, one triple, two homeruns, and 10 RBI...accumulated a .418 slugging percentage and .293 on-base percentage on the year...went a perfect 2-2 in stolen bases...from the circle, she tallied a 3-6 record with a 7.47 ERA over 49.2 innings...had 18 appearances from the circle including eight starts and two complete games...struck out 31 and walked 37 on the year...recorded a hit in four consecutive games from Mar. 30-Apr. 3 including a two-run homerun and double versus Lipscomb (Mar. 30)...Went 3-4 at the dish in the 20-1 victory over Alabama A&M on Feb. 14, with two RBI and one stolen base...notched first career victory from the circle versus Alabama A&M on Feb. 14 going for a complete five innings with a 1.40 ERA and striking out a career-high six batters...Threw a career-high seven innings versus Memphis on Mar. 5 with a 1.00 ERA in the 10-1 victory where she allowed just four hits and retired four at the plate.

The Tennessee Tech softball team return to tournament action on Sat.-Sun. when they travel to Troy, Ala. for the Troy Tournament. Besides host Troy University, the Golden Eagles will face opponents of Ole Miss and McNeese State University.
