2021 (Freshman): Beattie competed in all six of Tech's meets in the fall… made his collegiate debut with a time of 27:38.44 in the 8K at the Covered Bridge Open (Sept. 3)… delivered a season-best 8K time of 26:57.9 at the Live in Lou Classic (Oct. 2)… finished fifth for Tech at the Golden Eagle Invitational (Oct. 15) with an 8K of 28:00.7… posted a top 10K time of 34:57.90 at the NCAA South Regionals (Nov. 12).
High School: Beattie was a three-sport athlete at Nolensville High School in Nolensville, Tenn., lettering three years in cross country for head coach Brooke Roblitz, four years in track & field for Coach Roblitz, and three years in football as a punter and kicker for head coach Paul Derrick… earned All-Mid-State Second Team honors in cross country in 2019… was a finalist for the 2021 WILLCO Award for top boys country runner… placed fourth in the Region 6 cross country championship in 2020, qualifying for the state championship… picked up All-Region 4-4A First Team honors as a punter for the football team in 2019… named to the 2020 All-WillCo Football Team as a punter.
