SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Vicente impressed during the spring en route to his second All-OVC first team accolade of his career…did not compete during the fall after the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic…appeared in 15 of 16 matches in the No. 1 singles spot, posting a 9-6 record out of the position, including 4-1 in OVC play…went 9-7 during singles action overall…notched a 5-9 doubles record, but was a perfect 3-0 in OVC play during tandem action…named the OVC Player of the Week on Mar. 24…went 8-2 in last 10 singles affairs.
SOPHOMORE (2019-20): Vicente strung together a strong sophomore season, primarily competing at the top the Golden Eagle singles rotation during the spring…tied for the second-most singles nods on the team with a 6-3 mark prior to the cancellation of the rest of the year due to the COVID-19 pandemic…earned the last OVC Player of the Week honor of the season on Mar. 11…went 5-6 during singles action in the fall for an 11-9 solo mark on the year, the third most victories on the club…posted a 6-10 overall doubles record behind a 4-5 spring season, with all nine clashes out of the No. 1 spot, and a 2-5 fall mark…ended the spring on a team-best six-match singles winning streak…secured a 5-0 record out of the No. 3 singles position…advanced to the semifinals thanks to back-to-back singles victories in the Wake Forest Invitational Nov. 8-10 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
FRESHMAN (2018-19): Vicente put together a remarkable rookie year for the Golden Eagles, claiming the OVC Freshman of the Year award and securing a spot on the All-OVC first team…became the fourth Tech freshman in the last five years to win OVC Freshman of the Year honors…proved to be Tech’s most formidable doubles player with a 16-13 overall record for the best mark on the team…went 11-7 out of the No. 1 spot in the spring, the most spring wins on the club…notched a 3-1 doubles record during OVC action…posted a 16-22 overall singles record during the year with an 8-9 fall mark and an 8-13 spring ledger…turned it on during OVC play with a 4-1 conference singles record…appeared in five of six spots in the Tech singles lineup during the spring, highlighted by a 5-5 mark out of the No. 2 position…won three singles matches in Tech’s second event of the fall, the Chattanooga Collegiate Clay Court Championships (Sept. 14-16)…claimed three consecutive victories to reach the consolation quarterfinals in the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships (Oct. 11-14).
