Spring 2017 (Freshman): Seals participated in four of Tech’s five spring tournaments, finishing 12 rounds of play… shattered the program’s freshman scoring mark with a 5-under 67 in the first round of the OVC Championships (Apr. 24-26)… also recorded the lowest round ever by a Golden Eagle at the OVC Championships… finished the event with a season-low 67-68-81=216 to tie for fourth and earn his first career All-Tournament honors… earned a share of the team’s Impact Award with fellow freshmen Dabney Dickenson and Cameron Yeary… also claimed the team’s Most Improved Award… completed his first year at Tech with a scoring average of 75.39.
Fall 2016 (Freshman): Seals took part in two of the team’s five fall events, completing six rounds of golf… made his collegiate debut with a 77-70-75=22 at the GolfWeek Program Challenge (Sept. 11-13)… participated in the Derek Dolenc Intercollegiate (Sept. 26-27), carding a 78-76-76=230… averaged 75.33 for the fall.
High School: Seals was a four-year letterwinner under head coach Andy Gilley at Hendersonville High School… helped lead his team to both district and region titles in each of his four seasons on the team… also assisted in the team’s 2013 TSSAA State Championship run… completed his senior year with a scoring average of 72.0… placed fourth at the PGA Junior Championship Qualifier with a final score of 67-73=140… finished fifth at the AJGA Pre Season Junior Championships with a 78-73=151… won his TGA Junior Tour Spring Match Play event, 4-and-3.
