HIGH SCHOOL: A two-way standout for DeKalb County, Knowles found five different ways to score a touchdown in 2021 – catching, rushing, throwing, returning and intercepting. His career stats are fantastic, catching 154 passes for 2,308 yards and 15 touchdowns, then rushing 109 times for 893 yards and 15 scores. On kickoffs, he returned 109 kicks for 1,388 yards and two touchdowns. He finished his prep career with 4,744 all-purpose yards. Knowles was named the DTC Communications Player of the Year, while also earning four first-team all-region selections and two Class 4A All-state team nods. He was named the team's Most Outstanding Defensive Back twice as well as its Most Valuable Player in 2018. This past season, he was also the region's Offensive MVP.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As Tennessee Tech continued its spring football work on Saturday at Tucker Stadium, class was in session as the Golden Eagles went through situational football with officials overseeing the action. “It was really important for us to get the officials here and put the uniforms on so it felt more like game situations,” head coach Bobby Wilder said. “I’m really pleased with their effort and attitude today. We did not have a good practice on Thursday and it was really good to see them bounce back and perform at a much higher level.”
