Bio
HIGH SCHOOL: A finalist for the 2022 Tennessee Titans Class 3A Mr. Football Award, Harris helped lead Alcoa to a TSSAA Class 3A state championship with 1,895 all-purpose yards and 28 touchdowns. He was named an All-State selection by the Tennessee Sports Writers Association and was named the Maryville Daily Times' Offensive Player of the Year. He won four state championships with Alcoa and was twice named all-state and three times all-region.
A team captain for the Tornadoes in 2022, Harris ran for 999 yards and 20 touchdowns on 106 carries – an average of 9.42 yards per rush – while also catching 25 passes for 412 yards and four touchdowns.
He was named all-region and the district defensive player of the year in basketball, while he was also a two-time individual state champ in the long jump as Alcoa won two state track and field championships. Harris also finished third in the state in the 200m and sixth in the 100m.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the annual Gathering of Eagles came to a close, the Tennessee Tech football team saw great work from the defensive unit as the last three series ended with a turnover on downs, a Cole Putnam interception and a called sack to end the night, but that was just the tip of the iceberg for the defense on the evening. That’s not to say the offense was caught off-guard, because the attackers still found ways to get into the end zone as Maddux Richey connected to Hunter Barnhart for a 29-yard touchdown pass, Hayes Gibson and Ethan Roberts scored on quarterback keepers, while Gibson also had a 64-yard connection to Jordan Harris, who narrowly beat Gerald Kilgore in a footrace to the end zone. Hayden Olsen also kicked a 25-yard field goal and had two PATs, while Devin Parker also drilled a PAT through the upright.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Thunderstorms may have shortened Tennessee Tech Football’s work on Saturday, but as the Golden Eagles completed their first scrimmage at Tucker Stadium, there were a lot of positive signs. Offensively, the Tech rushing attack saw a lot of big gains as Justin Pegues, Jordan Harris and Montana transfer Marcus Knight each piled up solid yardage numbers in the scrimmage.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – As the Cookeville Noon Rotary club met at the Leslie Town Centre, Tennessee Tech head football coach Dewayne Alexander pitched the local Rotarians about the Golden Eagle football squad for the 2023 season and invited the assembly to head to Tucker Stadium for the games this season. First in the presentation was the new look of the conference as the Ohio Valley Conference joined with the Big South Conference in football only to create the Big South-OVC Football Association. Joining the usual suspects of Tech, Tennessee State, UT Martin, Southeast Missouri, Eastern Illinois and second-year OVC opponent Lindenwood, the Big South brings along Bryant, Charleston Southern, Gardner-Webb and Robert Morris into the fray.
