Fall 2021: In his first campaign with the Golden Eagles, Baker was a force, collecting the fifth-most tackles on the team with 38 as he had 21 solo stops and 17 assists ... Baker also had 3.0 for-loss for five yards and a sack for one yards ... he also intercepted a pass for 15 yards with a game-breaker in the win over Southeast Missouri ... Baker also collected a career-high 10 tackles in the contest (10/2/21).

HIGH SCHOOL: Baker had two interceptions in the nationally televised Winnersville Classic on ESPN2. He helped lead Lowndes to a region title. This past season, he had 70 total tackles, three sacks and three interceptions. For his career, he had 153 tackles, 5.5 sacks and six interceptions for 105 yards. Baker earned first-team and second-team all-region honors in his career and was also an all-state honorable mention, while also earning a second-team all-region honor in basketball.

Tech defense shines in Purple/Gold Spring Game

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech football fans got their first look at the 2023 Golden Eagles squad as players competed in the program’s annual Purple and Gold Spring Game on Saturday afternoon at Tucker Stadium. The scrimmage was the finale of this year’s spring practice, during which Coach Dwayne Alexander’s sixth Tennessee Tech team sought to lay a solid foundation for the upcoming season. The sun was out and so was the ball as the Golden Eagles defense took advantage of a poor exchange in the offensive backfield on the first play from scrimmage, pouncing on the loose football for an early fumble recovery.
