HIGH SCHOOL: Another strong running back to come out of the Beech High School system, Napper put together an amazing career with 3,208 yards and 50 touchdowns on 445 carries and also recorded 154 tackles. In his senior campaign, Napper ran for 1,587 yards and 23 touchdowns offensively, then had four sacks, 12 tackles-for-loss and 60 tackles. Napper was a two-time district offensive player of the year, county MVP, and first team all-state.

PERSONAL: The son of Rodney Napper and Velma Kemp...born on September 7, 1998...full name is Rodrick Napper...brother Rodney Napper played football at Campbellsville University for two years.

ACADEMIC: Napper plans to major in business.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – After a fantastic effort last Saturday to give the Tennessee Tech football team its first win of the season, the Golden Eagles can’t rest on their laurels long as they head to Macon, Ga., on Saturday to take on the Mercer Bears. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT start from Five Star Stadium.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – 493 yards of offense. One thing was sure as Tennessee Tech opened its Ohio Valley Conference slate with a dominating win over Austin Peay -- the Golden Eagles came out to play. The victory marked the first in the career of head coach Marcus Satterfield and also put the Golden Eagles in an early lead in both the conference and the Sergeant York Trophy race.
