Bio

Settling in at tight end after working at right tackle earlier in his career, Cory might have been the most improved player at that position during spring drills and heads into the 2015 season looking to see his most playing time...continuing to work in the weight room to develop his strength...has a solid understanding of the position and his role...runs good routes and is capable catching and blocking...with two years of learning and conditioning behind him, appears ready to expand his role for the Golden Eagles...appeared on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll in each of his first six semesters.

AT TECH (IN 2014): Saw action in two contests...did not record an stats.

(IN 2013): Played in the season opener against Cumberland...did not record any stats.

(IN 2012): Cory took a redshirt his first year on the Golden Eagle roster.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner as both an offensive and defensive lineman at Chester County High School, Cory started all 13 games on both sides of the line of scrimmage as a senior for the Eagles under head coach Micheal Hodum..helped the Eagles post a 10-3 overall record and a 5-2 mark in conference play, while reaching the third round of the TSSAA playoffs...won the team's Outstanding Leadership Award and was named to the All-District 14AA team as a defensive lineman...finished the 2011 season with 31 total tackles, including eight tackles-for-loss and three quarterback sacks. 

PERSONAL: The son of Patrick and Melanie Malone... majoring in EXPW/pre-occupational therapy...joins his brother, Zach, on the Golden Eagle roster...born February 28, 1994, in Memphis, Tenn... full name is Cory Daniel Malone.
