Wes is one of the most experienced players in the Golden Eagle offensive line, playing in 29 games in the past three years with 24 career starts...projected starter at right guard for 2013...has played both guard and tackle...strong player who brings size and tenacity to the offensive line...difficult to get past...gained valuable experience in his rookie season and nabbed a starting spot in 2011, a role he has held onto...good quickness and adjusts well on the field..fits nicely into Tech’s fast-paced attack...solid in the classroom, earning a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

AT TECH (In 2012): Wes started the first eight games of the season before an injury forced him to the sidelines for the final four games.

(In 2011): Sherrill earned the start in all 11 games in the Golden Eagle offensive line.

AT TECH (In 2010): Wesley played in a backup role in four of the first five games of the season at right tackle as a true freshman...took over the starting assignment when Malcolm Jones was lost for the year...started the next five games...missed the final game against Jacksonville State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner and a three-year starter in both sides of the line of scrimmage for coach Ralph Potter at Brentwood Academy...starting more than 30 career games for the Eagles, he helped post an 8-4 record in his senior season on his way to earning first-team all-Mid State honors from The Tennessean and All-State selection from TSWA...with Sherrill anchoring the lines, Brentwood Academy was the state Division II runnerup in both his sophomore and junior seasons and reached the semi-finals as a senior....he graded out at 90 percent for the season and had 36 pancake blocks.
