A fifth-year member of the team, Seth has put in the hard work needed to help the team in whatever situation he's called upon...listed second on the depth chart at the "bull" linebacker position, he will also continue to work as a fullback in goal line situations...a special member of the special teams...a strong player who continues working hard on his physical development with in the weight room...good knowledge of the game and excellent instinct for the ball...has made eight appearances on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

AT TECH (IN 2012): Seth saw action in all 11 games for the Golden Eagles, lining up on special teams and also in the backfield in Tech's goal line set...recorded one tackle and returned two kicks for 11 yards.

(In 2011): Saw field time in nine outings in 2011...best game came against Maryville College on Sept. 8 when he had three tackles, two of them unassisted.

(In 2010): Seth’s strength and outstanding hustle earned him playing time on all of the Golden Eagle special teams, as well as a spot at fullback in goal line situations.

AT TECH (In 2009): Seth spent his first season on the roster as a redshirt freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played football at White County High School for coach Josh Kerr...earned letters all four years in football and baseball for the Warriors...made All Region in football his junior and senior years...made All Upper Cumberland in football his sophomore, junior, and senior years...led his team with eight TDs and 112 tackles his senior season...started in the KY/TN Border Bowl game...was named team captain his senior year and received “Mr. Warrior” award.

PERSONAL: The son of Robert and Sherry McDonald...full name is Seth Alan McDonald...born June 27, 1990, in Sparta, Tenn...majoring in pre-physcial therapy.
