A speedster with excellent hands and precise routes, Eric could become a gamebreaker during his career as a Golden Eagle receiver...has risen to the top of the depth chart at the "Z" receiver position...displayed his skills off the field as well, earning a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the spring.

AT TECH (IN 2012): Eric played in every game for the Golden Eagles as a true freshman...pulled in six receptions for a total of 63 yards...scored his first career touchdown on a 41-yard reception from Darian Stone at Tennessee State on Oct. 27...returned 10 kicks throughout the season for a total of 177 yards... longest return was 40 yards at home against Eastern Kentucky on Oct. 20... accounted for 240 all-purpose yards.

IN HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year starter for the Lions at Columbia Central High School, Eric spent his prep career playing for his father, head coach Vance Belew, and helped the Lions capture the 2010 TSSAA Class 5A state championship...as a wide receiver, free safety and return specialist, Belew visited the end zone 25 times in his career, including 18 touchdown catches...finished his career with 96 catches for 1,959 yards...on defense, he made 144 total tackles and 12 interceptions in three seasons...also returned two punts, one kickoff and two interceptions for scores...following the 2011 season he was named all-state and all Mid-State and the Defensive MVP of District 8AAA...was also a key member of the CCHS track team in sprints and relays.

PERSONAL: The son of Vance and Paula Belew...cousin of Golden Eagle teammate Colton Belew...full name is Eric Alexander Belew... born March 24, 1994... majoring in EXPW/Licensure.
