Kevin joined the Golden Eagles in 2009 as a walk-on and earned a spot on the roster...spent a redshirt year his first season...was a member of the team in 2010 but did not see any action...has been a valuable contributor on the scout teams...worked throughout the past two years to increase his strength and quickness...good football knowledge...has made the move from inside linebacker to tight end...excellent student, he was his high school valedictorian...has been included on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll three of his four semesters at Tech, including both semesters last year.

AT TECH (In 2010): Kevin was a linebacker for the Golden Eagles but did not see any game action...continued to provide contributions to the effort with his performances on the scout team.

(In 2009): Kevin worked on the scout team as a redshirt his true freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterman for coach Gary Householder at Seymour High School...played middle linebacker on the defensive side of scrimmage and left tackle for the offense...named first-team all-region as a linebacker...a co-captain, he won the team's Linebacker Award...led the team as a senior with 96 tackles and helped win the region championship.

PERSONAL: The son of Michael and Marie Casler...born May 7, 1991 in Knoxville, Tenn...full name is Kevin Michael Casler...majoring in civil engineering.
