2021 (Sophomore*): Johnson played in and started at shortstop in 43 of Tech’s 47 games… ranked second on the team a .331 average and .406 on-base percentage while tallying a .483 slugging percentage… led the purple and gold with 44 runs scored and nine hit-by-pitches… totaled 57 hits, nine doubles, five home runs, 14 walks, and four stolen bases… ranked in the top-10 in the OVC in batting average, runs, and hit-by-pitches… turned in a career-high five hits as part of a 5-for-5 showing in the season finale against SIUE (May 21)… drove in a career-best six runs on three hits and his first collegiate home run at North Alabama (Mar. 16)… scored a career-high three runs in back-to-back games against Eastern Illinois (Mar. 20 & Mar. 21)… drew a career-best three walks in the second game of a doubleheader at Eastern Kentucky (May 1)… ripped a walk-off single to third base in Tech’s 13-12 win over SIUE (May 21) in the season finale… racked up multiple hits in 19 games and scored multiple runs 11 times… drove in multiple runs in five games… recorded a season-long nine-game hitting streak from Feb. 21 through Mar. 23, missing four games during the stretch due to injury… recorded five straight games with multiple hits during the streak.
