Bio

2019 (Freshman): Saliba appeared in 19 contests while making three starts during his freshman campaign… compiled a 2-2 record and 10.50 ERA while covering 30.0 innings on the hill… struck out 34 batters while walking 15… allowed 35 earned runs and 46 hits… made his collegiate debut in the first game of a doubleheader against Western Illinois (Feb. 16), striking out a pair in one inning… posted season-highs of 5.0 innings pitched and seven strikeouts in his first collegiate start in the second game of a doubleheader against Youngstown State (Mar. 2)… struck out six batters in four innings of relief at Jacksonville State (Mar. 30)… racked up six scoreless appearances on the year… punched out multiple batters 10 times and completed at least one inning in 12 games.

High School: Saliba was a decorated, three-sport athlete at the Webb School of Knoxville, earning four letters in baseball… played five different positions, including pitcher, third base, first base, left field and right field... led his team to both district and region titles… as a senior, compiled a 1.27 ERA and 8-1 record while tossing 60 and one third innings… struck out a whopping 76 batters with just 11 walks… as a junior, tallied 52 Ks with a 2.21 ERA, 4-3 record and two saves in 52.2 innings… turned in a 4-2 mark with a 2.02 ERA and 21 punchouts in 45 innings as a sophomore… claimed both District MVP and All-State honors as a senior… also took home All-District honors three times and a spot on the TBR Super Sophomore Team… spent his sophomore year as a member of the varsity football team… joined the bowling team for his junior and senior years, representing his school at the state championships.
