Bio

2019 (Junior): Lancaster sat out the 2019 season as a redshirt due to injury.

2018 (Sophomore): Lancaster made seven starts on the hill, appearing in a total of 13 games and pitching much of the season with a nagging injury… posted a 1-0 record with a 5.62 ERA in 40.0 innings on the mound… allowed 45 hits, 25 earned runs and 15 walks while striking out 18… earned his lone victory of the year after 4.0 innings of scoreless relief and a season-high five punch outs at Troy (Mar. 3)… lasted a season-long 7.0 innings in a no-decision against UT Martin (Mar. 10), holding the Skyhawks to just two runs… made a fantastic start in Tech’s NCAA Regional-clinching win over No. 4 Ole Miss (June 4), lasting 5.1 innings while holding the Rebels to just two earned runs and four hits… held opponents scoreless twice.

2017 (Freshman): Lancaster made 15 appearances, including seven starts, in his first season as a Golden Eagle… compiled a 4.72 ERA over 53.1 innings of work… posted a 4-1 record with one save while striking out 38 batters… allowed 28 earned runs, 57 hits and just 14 walks on the year while holding batters to a .274 average… made a brilliant debut in the second game of a doubleheader against Toledo (Feb. 18), tossing six shutout innings with six strikeouts and just five base runners allowed… combined with the bullpen for a shutout in the same game, garnering his first collegiate victory… fanned a season-high seven batters over a season-high seven innings in a start against Illinois State (Mar. 14)… tossed a scoreless innings in relief at Austin Peay (Mar. 25), earning his first career save… came out of the bullpen and tossed 4.1 innings without allowing an earned run to earn the victory over #19 Vanderbilt (Apr. 11)… tallied four total appearances without allowing an earned run… did not issue a walk over the final five appearances of the season while tallying 11 strikeouts over the same span.

High School: Lancaster was a two-sport athlete at Ringgold High School, racking up eight letters between baseball and football… as a senior hurler, compiled an incredible 12-0 record with a 1.17 ERA… led RHS to a region championship with 50 strikeouts and 1.89 ERA in just over 44 innings as a sophomore… earned All-State First Team and Best of Preps First Team accolades as a senior… took home 2015 Perfect Game Underclass Preseason All-American High Honorable Mention honors, 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game All-American Honorable Mention honors and 2016 Perfect Game All-Southeast Region Honorable Mention honors… played quarterback for the football team, tallying over 7,700 passing yards and nearly 80 touchdowns in his high school career… as a senior, threw for 3,100 yards and produced 30 touchdowns… earned Best of Preps First Team and All-State Second Team honors… named the team’s Offensive MVP and Player of the Year as a junior.

Personal: Son of Craig and Lana Lancaster… born July 15, 1997… full name is Devin Lancaster.

Academic: Majoring in secondary education… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll four times and to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll once.
