2017 (Junior): Chambers started all 62 games for the Golden Eagles at first base… hit .299 while finishing in the top-10 in single-season program history in home runs, RBI, runs scored and putouts… finished with 73 hits, 61 runs scored, 61 RBI, 11 doubles, two triples and 18 home runs… tied the single-season record for putouts with 504 (Zach Stephens – 2014)… slugged .582 while posting a .399 on base percentage with 29 walks, the third most on the team… led the team with 13 hit by pitches and posted a .992 fielding percentage… smashed the seventh most home runs in a single season in school history with 18… posted a season-high five hits in six at bats at Jacksonville State (Apr. 8) while also scoring a season-high four runs… recorded a season-best five RBI against Bradley (Feb. 26) and again against Eastern Illinois (Apr. 1)… hammered multiple home runs against Bradley (Feb. 26), against Eastern Illinois (Apr. 1) and in the second game of a doubleheader at Southeast Missouri (Apr. 29)… drove in at least four runs in four games and finished third on the team with 16 multi-RBI performances… recorded multiple hits 23 times and boasted a 20-game reached base streak, fourth-longest on the team… posted just four errors on the season.

2015 (Freshman): Chambers started and played in 54 of the team’s 55 games in his first year as a Golden Eagle, all at first base… finished the year with a .254 average while tallying 49 hits, 13 doubles, six home runs, 29 runs scored, 35 RBI and 32 walks… posted a .381 on base percentage thanks to 10 hit-by-pitches, the second most on the team… recorded a season-high three hits against Davidson (Feb. 22) and against Jacksonville State (May 20)… blasted a season-high two home runs for a season-best six RBI at UT Martin (Mar. 16)… drove in three RBI and scored two runs in Tech’s upset victory at #5 Arizona State (Apr. 25)… scored a season-high three runs at Jacksonville State (Apr. 12) while also drilling a season-best two doubles… recorded a 10-game hitting streak (Mar. 1-Mar. 17)… connected for multiple hits in 12 contests… scored multiple times five times and posted multi-RBI efforts in nine games.

Summer Baseball: 2016 - played summer ball for the Morehead City Marlins of the Coastal Plains League… finished the league with a .225 average, 20 hits, six doubles, two home runs, eight runs scored, nine RBI and eight walks. 2015 - played summer ball for the Liberal BeeJays of the Jayhawk League… finished the league with a .247 average, 18 hits, six doubles, a triple, three home runs, 17 runs scored, 14 RBI and 18 walks.

High School: Chambers lettered four years under head coach Matt Buchner at Farragut High School… batted .462 with 10 home runs, 19 doubles and 66 total hits as a senior… also scored 57 runs and drove in 58 while recording an on base percentage of .560… posted a career average of .385 with 15 home runs, 51 doubles and .545 on base percentage… led FHS to AAA state titles in 2011 and 2014… earned All-District honors three times… named a Preseason Under Armour All-American before 2014 season… rapped up career earning All-State and Louisville Slugger All-American honors.

Tech baseball team voted OVC Preseason favorite, five named to Preseason All-OVC Team

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – With one week remaining before the Tennessee Tech baseball team begins the defense of its 2017 Ohio Valley Conference title, the league announced both its predicted order of finish and Preseason All-OVC Baseball Team.
