2016 (Sophomore): Putzig made 37 starts in the infield while playing in a total of 47 games… missed time early in the year due to a minor injury… wrapped up the year with a .308 batting average with 49 hits, 30 runs scored, and 27 RBI… slugged .503 thanks to 14 doubles, one triple and five home runs… his 14 doubles ranked second on the team… finished third on the team with 80 assists… posted a season-high four hits in back-to-back games at Murray State (Apr. 23 & 24)… drove in a season-best four runs against Austin Peay (Apr. 2)… scored a season-high three runs against Kennesaw State (Mar. 30)… reached base four times in five trips to the plate against Alabama A&M (Apr. 12), drawing a season-best three walks and getting hit by a pitch… ranked fourth on the team with 15 multi-hit games and also drove in multiple runs in seven contests.

2015 (Freshman): Putzig played in 36 games while making 25 starts all over the diamond… finished his first season with the Golden Eagles with a .283 batting average, 30 hits, two doubles, one home run, 13 runs scored and 15 RBI… went 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts… made 10 starts in his last 11 games played, batting .405 over that span… tallied six hits in nine at bats in back-to-back games at Southeast Missouri (May 2-3), posting three in each game for a season-high mark… also scored four runs in the two starts, a season-high two in each game… crushed his lone home run at Austin Peay (Mar. 28)… accumulated seven multi-hit performances and drove in multiple runs four times.

Summer Baseball: 2016 - played summer ball for the St. Cloud Rox of the Northwoods League, playing in 11 games before suffering a shoulder injury… finished with a .237 average, nine hits, three doubles, one home run, 10 runs scored, six RBI and six walks. 2015 - played summer ball for the Oneonta Outlaws of the New York League, making the all-star team… finished the league with a .312 average, 32 hits, seven doubles, one home run, 23 runs scored, 25 RBI and seven walks… hit .393 with two doubles and four RBI in seven games in the playoffs.

High School: Putzig was a five-year letterwinner at Ballard High School, playing shortstop, second base, third base and pitcher for head coach David Trager… as a senior, batted .375 with 12 doubles, two triples and five home runs… also recorded a fielding percentage of .950 and on base percentage of .472… for his career, finished with a .345 average and more than 200 hits… led his team to five consecutive district runner-up finishes… named All-District and All-Region in 2012, 2013 and 2014… earned spot on the All-District Tournament Team in 2012… was awarded the United State Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award and the Distinguished Athlete Award from BHS…  ranked number six in the Kentucky Class of 2014… played four summers for the Kentucky Baseball Club… honored with an Academic Achievement Award as a senior.
