2016 (Junior): Brown made 52 starts and appeared in 53 games, splitting time between catcher and designated hitter in his first year at Tech… ranked second on the squad with a .330 average while totaling 70 hits, 45 runs scored, 48 RBI, 10 doubles, a triple and 11 home runs… slugged .542 while also posting a .384 on base percentage… finished the year with a .988 fielding percentage… tied for the team-lead with four sacrifice flies… scored a season-high three runs twice, against Lipscomb (Mar. 8) and at Alabama A&M (Apr. 12)… tallied a season-best three hits on six different occasions… drove in a season-high three runs five times… finished 3-for-3 with three RBI and a three runs scored against Lipscomb (Mar. 8)… smacked his first career home run in the purple and gold against Bucknell (Feb. 28)… garnered a personal best two walks three different times… put together a 10-game hitting streak to start the season and also strung together hits in 11 straight games midseason (Mar. 24-Apr. 9)… tied for the team lead with 15 multi-RBI performances… ranked second on the team with multiple hits in 22 contests.

2014 (Freshman – Alabama-Huntsville): Brown played in 19 games, making 16 starts at catcher… hit .328 on the power of 20 hits while posting nine runs scored, 11 RBI, four walks and two doubles… owned a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage… recorded a season-high three hits at West Georgia (Feb. 16) and again facing Indianapolis (Mar. 2)… also drove in a season-best two runs at West Georgia and two games earlier facing Kentucky State (Feb. 1).

Summer Baseball: 2016 - played summer ball for the Catawba Valley Stars of the Carolina-Virginia League, leading his team to a runner-up finish in the league championship tournament… finished the league with a .381 average, 61 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, six home runs, 38 runs scored, 42 RBI and 15 walks… slugged .606 and posted a .446 on base percentage… hit .308 with a double, three runs scored, two RBI and a walk in five games in the playoffs. 2015 - played summer ball for the Catawba Valley Stars of the Carolina-Virginia League, earning league MVP honors while leading his team to the league championship… finished the league with a .400 average, 54 hits, nine doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 34 runs scored, 44 RBI and 26 walks to just 16 strikeouts… slugged .704 and posted a .491 on base percentage… earned CVCL Player of the Week honors during the fourth week of play… hit .333 with a home run, four runs scored, three RBI and five walks in six games in the playoffs.

High School: Brown was a two-sport athlete at Hartselle High School, playing left tackle and defensive end for head football coach Bob Godsey for years and spending four years under head baseball coach William Booth as a catcher, first baseman and third baseman… hit .402 with 34 home runs and 46 doubles in his career… named All-Area all four years in both football and baseball… took home All-State honors each year in baseball, leading his team to state titles as a freshman and a senior… also named All-State two times in football while leading HHS to state championship as a junior… named Class 5A State Baseball Championship MVP as a senior.

MARTIN, Tenn. – The bats continued to heat up for the Tennessee Tech baseball team Thursday afternoon, as the Golden Eagles (9-5, 1-0) unleashed the offense to the tune of 19 hits in a 14-6, series-opening victory at UT Martin (6-5, 0-1) to kick off Ohio Valley Conference play.
